The Abu Chathukkutty Stadium commenced its operations and was opened to the public starting in December 2023. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Sports Kerala Foundation (SKF) and the Dharmadam Panchayat on May 6, 2025, formalizing the operational framework for the facility. Currently, the stadium is utilized exclusively for football activities. The ground, equipped with natural turf and flood light is specifically allotted solely for the sport of football, and plans are underway for a "Sports life fitness center" to start functioning at the location shortly.

The V. R. Krishna Iyer Municipal Stadium in Thalassery has been entrusted to the Sports Kerala Foundation (SKF) for its supervision, maintenance, and upkeep, effective from October 7, 2022 by the Thalassery municipality. The stadium is comprehensively constructed, featuring a 400-meter synthetic track and a natural football turf equipped with floodlights, alongside an indoor basketball court. The structure includes a surrounding gallery with seating capacity for 5,000 spectators. Furthermore, the stadium complex is built as a three-story building, which encompasses rooms for athletes' accommodation, halls for conducting meetings, and approximately five commercial shop rooms.
