The Jimmy George Sports Hub, located in Vellayambalam Thiruvananthapuram, is Kerala’s premier destination for high-performance sports training. Owned by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, its comprehensive operations and maintenance are managed by the Sports Kerala Foundation- SPV to the Directorate of Sports and Youth affairs. Named in honor of the iconic Indian volleyball player Jimmy George, the Hub boasts world-class facilities essential for competitive success including a massive indoor stadium equipped for volleyball, basketball, handball and badminton. The Jimmy George Indoor Stadium has hosted numerous sporting events and has been a venue for regular practice sessions for sportspersons and enthusiasts. Serving as a crucial training ground for promising players, Jimmy George Sports Hub is truly the nerve center of sports development in the region.

Beyond its core facilities, the Jimmy George Sports Hub (JGSH) notably includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, inaugurated in 1962, and has been a landmark in the capital city. The pool was revamped to meet international standards and the technical specifications of FINA (International Swimming Federation) in 2015. High-mast lighting facilities are also provided to conduct competitions at night. The pool now hosts regular, holiday, and weekend swimming batches besides various competitions, all featuring coaching curated by experienced swimmers.

The sports hub also proudly houses one of the state's largest gymnastics courts, which has successfully produced National-level champions across different age categories.

The Ramnathan Krishnan Tennis Complex was set up during the 2015 National Games held in Kerala. After the national games, later brought under the Directorate of Sports, currently operated and maintaned by the Sports Kerala Foundation (SKF)- SPV to the Directorate of Sports and Youth affairs. Venue provides experienced coaches and amenities like specialized / personalized weekend and holiday batches, besides regular batches for various participants. The programs are specifically designed to cater to both students and working officials who require flexibility. The venue also provides court booking facility for practices.

In its brief history of a decade, the academy has consistently produced many state champions in junior Boys and Girls. The trainees from the academy have won laurels in the state school games and the national school games for CBSE, ICSE, Central School Boards, etc. Many graduates of this academy have now started winning laurels at the state and even international tournaments like ITF seniors.
