Introduction and Objective
As part of the Government of Kerala’s landmark initiative Ente Keralam – 2025, celebratingfour years of progressive governance, the Sports Department introduced a unique and vibrant component—Kayika Keralam, a specially designed stall dedicated to promote sports awareness, physical fitness, and citizen engagement.The primary objective of the Kayika Keralam Stall was to create a space where people from all walks of life could actively experience the essence of sports, while simultaneouslylearning about the governments numerous efforts and advancements in the sporting sector.

Design and Conceptualization
Spanning an area of 1000 square feet, the stall’s layout was both innovative and immersive. In each of the 14 districts, the space was transformed into a miniature stadium, with careful attention given to aesthetics and functionality.
At the heart of the stall, a natural football turf was laid down, showcasing a real playing field.
Surrounding this central area was a semi-circular synthetic track, giving visitors the visual impression of standing in an athletic arena.
This thematic setup was more than decorative—it set the tone for a dynamic, participatory environment where sports came alive. Visitors did not just observe; they were encourage to move, compete, and play.
Activities and Engagements

To ensure inclusivity and widespread participation, a wide array of interactive games, demonstrations, and fitness assessments were organized. The design of the activities emphasized fun, accessibility, and health consciousness, catering to all age groups—from young children to senior citizens.

The stall hosted a range of activities such as mini football, archery, dart throw, agility drills, and other challenges. Coaches and volunteers guided participants, turning the stall into a space buzzing with movement and cheer.
Fitness & Health Assessments
Understanding the increasing importance of personal fitness, the stall included health checkpoints where visitors could measure:
Body Mass Index (BMI)
Basic physical fitness levels through structured challenges
This feature was particularly appreciated by the adult and elderly population, as it allowed them to evaluate their health status in a supportive, non-clinical setting.
Public Response and Outcome
The Kayika Keralam Stall stood out as one of the most vibrant and interactive spaces in the;Ente Keralam event across districts. The Kayikam Keralam Stall received a total of; awards
among the 14 districts. It consistently recorded high footfall throughout the week, drawing:
School and college groups
Families
Fitness enthusiasts
Senior citizens
Well-known athletes and public representatives
Many renowned government representatives, sportspersons and politicians visited the stall,;further elevating its visibility and impact. Feedback collected from visitors indicated high
levels of satisfaction, enjoyment, and appreciation. People were particularly impressed with;the innovative design, the opportunity to participate, and the informative visual content.
Conclusion
The Kayika Keralam Stall successfully transformed the concept of sports awareness into an engaging, on-ground experience. It reinforced the governments commitment to building a
sports-literate, physically active, and health-conscious Kerala.
More than just a stall, it became a symbol of how sports can unify, inspire, and energize a community. The collaborative efforts of various departments and the enthusiastic public
response underscore the stall’s resounding success.
